Wine Bottle Tags 2

So do you remember when I posted my wine bottle tags a few weeks ago ? Well here is the finished product for display!! I'm so excited I think I'll be saving every glass container I empty and  will be wrapping hemp/twine around it! Love the look and it's pretty cheap (especially if you're drinking cheap wine like I do).

So I went to town with the spray adhesive ( <= my new best friend! Between these wine bottles and those binders I'm sure I will be needing a new can very soon.)
Anyway, back to the point. I went to town with the spray adhesive spraying about 3" of my bottle as I went. Spray, wrap twine tightly until you get to the end of your adhesive spray/or if it begins to loose tackiness. Per the directions you're supposed to apply within 15 seconds to have a permanent bond but I can't wrap that much twine that fast. I felt that like a minute and a half gives you enough time to wrap a 3" section with the adhesive remaining tacky.
Now, keep spraying and wrapping from top to bottom (as I did) or until you like the look of your bottle.
Your fingers may get a little sticky doing this project. Make sure that when you're spraying your adhesive you protect the surrounding area!!! Not with a craft mat either. I use a shoe box. This adhesive does not wipe off. At least not without a TON of effort, soap, Clorox wipes, and warm water (and REPEAT several times). Almost ruined a brand new craft mat the first time I used this stuff, because like you're supposed to be able to just wipe adhesive off of the may rightttttttt? I guess spray adhesive is not included in that.

But I ramble!!
Just scroll down and look at the pretty finished product!!

I think that I'll be reusing these for my wedding reception as the flower in that "vase" is one for the reception decorations. Yay! A double reuse of an item. I feel so eco-friendly!

Thanks for stopping by!

For the craft fair that my mom is in in April, she wanted me to make some signs for her. Here's what I came up with for what she wanted them to say. I think they turned out pretty cute myself. All I need to finish them it to wrap twine around the bottles (and polish off two more wine bottles!).

Poppies, Poppies, and {more} Poppies

I told you I love them. Here is more of Authentique's Poppy paper. If there anything I love more than the color or poppies, it's the color of poppies with that lovely Aqua color down there on those cards. My bedroom has that color scheme going on. The walls are a slightly lighter color than the poppies and our accent color is aqua blue. It gives the whole room a beach-y feel. Of course so do all of the accessories we've added to the room like beach photos form Jamaica, seashell wall hangings, a seahorse candle holder, you know the basics.

To make a garden full of poppy cards:
Authentique's Poppy paper
Basic Gray paper
Bling
Spellbinders Ribbon Tag Trio 2
Spellbinders Blossoms Tags and Acccents

Bricks and Windows

I'm back as I promised to be. This time I have a card for you, rather than a project. You've probably got the  supplies for this already, they're kind of the staples of cardmaking. If you don't however, you'll be wanting to down to Picture This and picking them up because once you use them, you're gonna be hooked.

To make this card you'll need:
Memory Box Small Madison Window
Spellbinders Ribbon Tag Trio 3
Tim Holtz/Sizzix Brick embossing folder
Judith F-262 'Merry Christmas' Stamp
Graphic 45 Christmas paper
Tim Holtz Fired Brick Distressed Ink
Plaid Green Ribbon

See? You've probably got all of these. And if you don't, of course you can change out the Judith Christmas stamp for any other one you have on hand, same with the label, and you can use any kind of red ink you may have. BUT I think you really do need the Tim Holtz Brick folder and the Memory Box Window die. Really, you need them. Go get them if you don't have them. Every project from now on you will want to use these things, or you'll be making a project and think "Gee, If I only had XXX then my project would be perfect and it could be completed". Seriously. And of course if you'd like to make this card you will also need them because as far as I know, no other companies have a brick wall embossing folder or window as versatile as this one (although Cheery Lynn does have a bunch of cute windows that have a bit of flare, like stained glass church windows).

Happy Crafting!

Simplicity

The card looks better in person because the camera doesn't capture true color.

Super simple card and takes like a minute to do.

Cut a circle out of the center of your card base using Spellbinders Standard Circles.

Stamp your sentiment in the middle of the circle that was cut out of the center of your card base in a dark color ( I used Memento black ink and Kaiser Craft's Thank You clear stamp set sentiment).

Using Judith Weeds Large Stub Stamp and your color of choice stamp weeds all over the circle (I used Tim Holtz Antique Linen).

Close the card base and pop dot the stamped circle into the center of the cut out circle in your base.

Done!

HONEY. .. .

This was a birthday card for my honey Shane.

I used the McRice Medley Out West (the bear), MME miss caroline collection for the background, Judith stub stamp for the honey  jar, and Copic markers to color it in.

There's a show on Comedy Central called "Workaholics" the loves and one episode there were bear puns on the show. The inside of the card highlights one of those puns.

(If you're interested in the pun, here's a link to that episode but viewer discretion is advised.)

Fab 5 Day 1- Judith

Judith
Yes, Judith again. You know you  love her.

Day 1 is a super simple Christmas card.

Just take white cardstock cut to 11x5.5" for  the card base. And another piece of white cardstock to 5.25x4"; stamp Judith "In the Winter We Can Build a Snowman" stamp with black ink and color with Copics, emboss this piece with Tim Holtz/Sizzix Snowman Embossing Folder, and distress the edges with Tim Holtz Walnut Stain Distress Ink. Stamp the inside with Judith "Merry Christmas" stamp in black ink.

Super easy Christmas card made in less than 5 minutes. Seriously.

Fab 5- Day 1 Judith

Ah...Judith. We meet again. Only this time it is colder, therefore a season appropriate card is to be desired. Large Stubbies from your collection are the perfect thing to add a touch of fall and halloween to a card, in this case I used Oak Leaf, Bat, Spider, and Frog. I colored them in with Copic Markers, and for the inside of the card there's a "Happy Halloween" Stamp that's perfect.

Sarah Kay

Well, I recently acquired some Copics and needed a stamp to go along with it. So I used some New G45 Wizard of Oz paper, Spellbinders Fancy Tags and Scalloped Ovals, Ek Success Border Punch, a Stampavie clear stamp, and lots of Copics!

I <3 this card! It turned out sooo cute. Very easy too. Using "Chloe-mini floral" from 3 Bugs in a Rug as the background and the front and backside of "showers" just stamp your girl onto the backside rectangle as well as some "little weeds" from Judith with "Shabby Shutter" ink and adhere them down to the background. With some fancy tags from Spellbinders and TH "Victorian Velvet" ink to both distress and stamp "hello" you make the tag. Just get out your CB Quilled Daisy and that MME "Fine & Dandy "Adorned"" paper and rhinestones set and you're set to make the card with only floral ribbon to add.

Springtime

Both of these cards were made with Three Bugs in a Rug's "April Showers" line: "gathering" and "showers". I also used Spellbinders Large Standard Circles and Scalloped Circles and yellow grosgrain ribbon.

Card #1:4x5.25" background is Cloud9Design "Royal Dots-Pink". The 3.75x5" background is "gathering". I stamped congrats on a standard circle cut from "white luster" CS distressed it with "Rose Bud" Memento ink. The scalloped circle is cut out from the back of "showers".
Card #2: the background is the back of "showers". The scalloped strip on the bottom is the back of "gathering" and is punched with an EK Success Punch. The scalloped circles are cut from"light groovy grape" CS. The inside of the larger circle is cut from "gathering". The bird feet are stamped across the card with a Judith stub.
