Happy Belated Birthday John

Yesterday was my older brother's birthday. I didn't get around to making him a card until today even though I've had the supplies to make it for a couple of weeks. Its been a busy couple of weeks for me though.

I've been working at the store in the morning and then at the hospital in the evening. Plus I participated in the Dirty Girl Mud Run in Milwaukee this past Sunday. It was tons of fun. I've been working a lot of weekends as well and we've had work done on our bathroom. Now we're getting a new road so the construction around here is going to last for a while. I'm not very excited about this since we have no driveway or cul de sac so I've been parking down the street on a hill. And I tell ya its hot out around here so  not having a garage is making me sweat as soon as I get into my car-it gets so hot sitting in the sun.

I finally have had some time to create, however I can't share most of my projects with you until the end of September after Picture This's Christmas Extravaganza because the projects I've had time to work on have all been for that event. But don't worry I will post them! I have 11 cards so far so you'll have a lot of posts to look through. :)

I'm going to try and get caught up with more projects so that I don't have another 4 month hiatus from blogging. Then I can keep the blog up to date for you guys.

I'll stop blabbering now and tell you about the card I made for my brother's birthday (now for next year).

The background paper is Moxxie "hole in one". The grass is the back of that paper cut out with Dienamics Fresh Cut Grass die. The happy birthday stamp is no longer available but is stamped on Spellbinders Nested Lacey Pennants in Walnut Stain distress ink by Tim Holtz on Worldwin Medium Coffee Brown cardstock. The golf ball is cut out of white cardstock with Spellbinders Standard Large Circles and embossed with Cuttlebug's Polka Dots embossing folder. Everything is adhered onto Worldwin Deep Creamy Cocoa cardstock.

Stop by again soon to see another card made with these materials!

Thanks for stopping by!

Go Team

I am still on a page sample kit for the store, and here's what I came up with on Saturday. You'll be able to find it in the "School" section of the store.

When it's made its rounds hanging on the wall in the store I'll take the page back for my younger brother's senior scrapbook (which I still have to start, but he's only a junior and I have a large amount of paper and embellishments already for this project) for one of his Special Olympics pictures.

Supplies:

Crate Paper school spirit "Pep Rally"
"Champions" diecut available at Picture This
Cuttlebug Embossing Folder "Swiss Dots"
MFT Die-namics "Mix & Match Banners"
Colored Cardstock
Diecut Letters available & cut at Picture This

I hope you enjoyed that post today!

Fishies!

This is a MAN'S card. But it wouldn't mean nothing, without a fishie... or a hook.

Yup, I went there. I was remaking a song.
(This is a Man's World-James Brown)

Supplies you need to go fishing:
Spellbinders Ribbon Tag Trio 2
Susan Louise prints (the fish hooks)

Gone Fishing!

For the Guys

There's no sentiment inside of this one, I felt that it's easier to just leave a card open ended if it's going to be given to a guy. That way when it's time to give the card away, you just have to write your own sentiment inside.

Supplies:
Graphic 45 Playtimes Past Collection (b/g)
SugarTree- Steves Pages (fish)
Susan Louise Minis: Fishing Set 1 (hooks)
Spellbinders Ribbon Tag Trio
Ribbon
Cocoa cardstock

Dinosaur

A little Dinosaur paper again and Spellbinders scalloped and standard large circles and a Judith stubby "Hello" makes another cute card for boys. Add a thick dotted ribbon to complete the look.

G-G-G-Golfing

This album is intended for my older brother John-the golf enthusiast. He golfs like every day of his life. No matter the weather. As long as the courses are open. The boy went to Texas to go golfing. And yet...the only picture that I have of him golfing is from the newspaper when he won some tournament in Menomonie or something. So...it has yet to be filled due to lack of pictures to fill it with.

For my brother

Using Graphic 45 paper (A Perfect Gentleman's Collection), I made this simple card with the intention of giving it to my older brother who is an avid gold enthusiast. It never made it to him even though I got it done before his birthday. I guess I'll save it for next year.
