Pink Frames

Here is another old page that I've had in my scrap pile for a while. I'm sorry to say that I can't give you any detail about this page except that I THINK that the background paper is Basic Gray.

I hope that everyone had a great Saturday despite the negative temperatures. Picture This had their Craft Fair today and there were some great vendors there selling awesome stuff that'd be great for Christmas presents.

Also, early this morning I became an aunt!! :) My husband and I now have a nephew!!

Have a great rest of your weekend!

Poppies, Poppies, and {more} Poppies

I told you I love them. Here is more of Authentique's Poppy paper. If there anything I love more than the color or poppies, it's the color of poppies with that lovely Aqua color down there on those cards. My bedroom has that color scheme going on. The walls are a slightly lighter color than the poppies and our accent color is aqua blue. It gives the whole room a beach-y feel. Of course so do all of the accessories we've added to the room like beach photos form Jamaica, seashell wall hangings, a seahorse candle holder, you know the basics.

Fab 5

McRice has new medleys out an we are loving them!

Here's what I came up with from their Fall Medley.

I used a flower picture that they  had on their medley and cut out flowers for my card from them to give my flowers a funky design.

Here's everything that I used:

McRice Fall Medley
Spellbinders Fancy Tag Trio
Martha Stewart Branch Punch
Cheery Lynn Sweet Williams D 137 dies
Basic Gray Hello Lucious paper
Anna Griffin corner Punch

I got my creative juices flowing and made more cards with the Fall Medley too!

Fab 5 Day 2- March

Stamping monkeys stamping paper! This little monkey is SO cute. If you're the kind of person who likes to scrapbook about scrapbooking, he's perfect. Or if you need to make an invite for a scrap night, retreat, etc. He shows you exactly what you're going to be doing, you hardly need to put information in the card.
Supplies:
Changito Monkey Cling Stamp
Copics
Basic Gray Paper
Spellbinders "Lacey Circles" Die and "Lg. Circles" Die

Fab 5 Day 1-January

A little bear inside the outhouse without any toilet paper; he forgot it outside. The inside of the card reads "Have you ever had one of those days?"

Supplies:
tan CS
Crate paper-brown plaid
Basic Gray paper ("nook & pantry" (backside))-blue plaid
Judith bear, outhouse, TP, and "Have you ever had one of those days?" stamps
Copic markers: greens, browns, and grays (C00, C02)
tan twine

Brother & Sister

Supplies:
MME "Dreamy 2" Flower Paper
Basic Gray Paper (Green: backside has Christmas trees)
Spellbinders Large Scalloped Circles (Flower)
Spellbinders Labels Four (Flower Leaves)
Martha Stewart Edge Punch
Green Beads, Eye Pins, Hole Punch

This layout is simple to do but it was a little bit time consuming. The flower is just two different orange-y colors cut out from the Spellbinders Scalloped Circles, going one size smaller with each new layer. The leaves are cut out of green CS with Spellbinders Labels 4, the two smallest dies, and layered beneath the flower. I punched a hole in the center of the top flower.

The beads dangling beneath the pictures were placed on eye pins (for jewelry) and using a pliers like tool, make a loop on the other end of the pin that goes through the hole punched in the photo mats. Do this six times.
Note: Make sure that you've pop-dotted the pictures or the beads won't hang correctly.

Time

The Hero Arts Trunk Show is coming to Picture This! Both of these cards are samples for the trunk show; the clock stamp on both is Hero Arts. For the first one, I made a Christmas themed card that reads "As another year flies by..." "Take time to be with the ones you love" "Merry Christmas." I used red and cream CS, "Jovial" Basic Gray striped paper, "Walnut Stain" and "Vintage Photo" Distress Inks, two pearls, red and white striped ribbon, and the Clock Hero Arts Stamp along with those 3 saying stamps.
For the second card I used "light chocolate malt" CS, "Capella" Basic Gray Paper, twine, Distress Ink, the clock "Hero Arts" stamp, and another stamp saying "take time to be with the ones you love" for the inside.
