Fab 5 Day 6

Fab 5 Day 6, or at least that's what I'm calling it. Last night I broke down and bought some more Spellbinders, a couple Judith stamps, and this girl stamp and went to town creating! Using my Lilybee "French Couture" collection again and Spellbinders "Labels 18" (the new dies in my collection!), Spellbinders "Fancy Tags", Judith Stubby "Little Weeds", and a dollar stamp (the girl) I  made this card and I love it! Now I just need someone to give it to...

Fab 5 Day 5- April

Day 5 of the Fab 5. As the week ends, so do my ideas. I know that I was trying to come up with some out of the box ideas to use with your Spellbinders for every day this week, but I wasn't sure what else to do and my personal collection of Spellbinders is limited, so that also limits my ideas. But today's card is still a lot of fun! It's pretty in pink, a simple thank you card that screams "GIRL!!!".

Supplies:
Spellbinders Fancy Tags
Spellbinders Labels 4
CB Embossing Folder "Birds and Swirls"
Ditto brand stamps (Floral Background & Thanks!)
Memento Ink "Rose Bud" and "Angel Pink"

Fab 5 Day 3- April

Today's Fab 5 features Spellbinders "Standard Large Circles" Dies. I cut out three circles using each of the three smallest circle sizes from Lilybee's "French Couture" collection. Then I distressed the edges of the circles. I stacked one of each circle on top of one another (small, medium, large) using a circle from each paper design and then hole punched them through the center. I then stuck a mini white brad through each flower. Because I was lacking supplies, I glitz up these flowers the homemade way, normally, with the correct supplies, I would just spray them with water using a mini mister and then spritz them with either glimmer mist or a glitter spray to make my flowers sparkle and hold their shape. My homemade version of glitz however was spraying them each with hairspray so that they would be more malleable and hold their shape when they dry, and then dust them with fine glitter. It did the trick just as well. :)
For the flowers in the vase, I attached a piece of floral wire to the back of the brad and added a leaf from a fake flower then stuck the bunch into a jar filled with marbles.
For the flower barrette, I simply hot glued a flower onto a bare metal barrette.

Fab 5 Day 2- April

For day 2 of Spellbinders this week I made a magnetic frame. Using Spellbinders Labels 8 for the interior window and Labels 5 for the outer border of the frame, I cut out this wallet sized frame. I used Fiskars double sided glazed cardstock "Moonlight" for the paper and adhered the frame around my picture (if you cut the picture down it would slide into the frame easily from the top) and then added a 1" square magnet on the back of the frame.
Easy steps for a cute paper product frame you can show off on your refrigerator.

Fab 5 Day 1- April

Fab 5 this week is going to be Spellbinders! Almost all of my cards incorporate Spellbinders already so it's going to be hard to make things specifically targeting Spellbinders. But this week, I thought I'd try to show you some out-of-the-box ideas to use with your Spellbinders.
For Day 1 of Fab 5, I did this banner for Spellbinders. It's made of 12 Spellbinder's new Nested Pennants and Lacey Nested Pennants each. I also added the Circles and Scalloped Circles in the center of the pennants and stamped with Just Rite stamps onto each one until it spelt out "SPELLBINDERS". I  made this banner for the store, but you could do anything with it. You could do school colors and use it for graduation and have it read "CONGRATS". Or you could do a Happy Birthday Banner, a wedding one, one for a baby shower. The options are limitless!
You can find the Pennants along with a lot of new Spellbinders at Picture This! Get them while they're in stock.
